First Day Done!

 I've just got back to our flat after my first day at Colegio Carmelites. All things considered, I think it went pretty well. I met my mentor before the kids arrived, then headed straight to my first two classes where I was interrogated by the kids about all manner of things about my personal life. Then, after a quick café solo in a local bar during my break, I headed to lunch with the other teachers. I'll be honest, the fideuá we had for lunch today was a far cry from the questionable food I had served to me when I was at primary school. After that, I had two hours of classes with my mentor and her 6th grade class, where we revised telling the time and talking about family members before heading home. Now it's time to plan some activities for tomorrow, but if every day here is like this then I think this will be a pretty productive trip!

I like cats and one happy surprise I have come across whilst in Valencia was the abundance of cats roaming around the place. But unlike the cats you come across in England, these guys are less tempted by the pspspsps I make and will maintain at least 2 metres distance with you. That being said, they are fun to come across when you least expect it, almost like little spirits you encounter in your journey. I even saw a cat sized hole in the wall that looked like a little home for cats!(Photographed below) Maybe this isn't the only one in Valencia...

Packing Pandemonium (aka Why I Won't Be Taking my Pig Costume)

They say the hardest thing about planning a trip abroad is deciding what to take with you. And oboy aren't they right! I mean, once you've factored in the bare essentials (hair care products, paisley shirts, maltesers and so forth …), you've hardly any room left over for the little luxuries. So, I'm only going to be taking one book. Question is, which one? I've narrowed the list down to three books with their different pros and cons.
