I'm on my way to Gaa-an-dia!

Well, placement info came through yesterday and it looks like it's off to sunny Gandia for me, of Blossom Coast and golden sandy beaches fame 🍹🌞 Pity I won't be bringing my boogie board along huh …

Placement will be at the Colegio Carmelitas where, if I understand correctly, I'll be teaching primary and secondary school pupils ranging from 9 to 14 yrs.

So exciting stuff! Today we met the lovely Laura from Schola, and she advised me to get creative with my lessons rather than teaching by the book. Which all sounds just groovy!

I like cats and one happy surprise I have come across whilst in Valencia was the abundance of cats roaming around the place. But unlike the cats you come across in England, these guys are less tempted by the pspspsps I make and will maintain at least 2 metres distance with you. That being said, they are fun to come across when you least expect it, almost like little spirits you encounter in your journey. I even saw a cat sized hole in the wall that looked like a little home for cats!(Photographed below) Maybe this isn't the only one in Valencia...

Packing Pandemonium (aka Why I Won't Be Taking my Pig Costume)

They say the hardest thing about planning a trip abroad is deciding what to take with you. And oboy aren't they right! I mean, once you've factored in the bare essentials (hair care products, paisley shirts, maltesers and so forth …), you've hardly any room left over for the little luxuries. So, I'm only going to be taking one book. Question is, which one? I've narrowed the list down to three books with their different pros and cons.
